MISS Solbrew Company Limited has given hope to children with disability at San Isidro school, located at the outskirts of Honiara’s West.

Speaking during the crowing of the 2013, Ms Charity at the Art Gallery in Honiara this week, Ms Solbrew Penela Taika said she chose to raise funds for San Isidro because of the desire to help push forward the needs of children with disability.

She revealed before the crowd that her little brother is disabled and therefore having someone with such in the family is a very delicate thing and support is a serious priority.

“I chose San Isidro because I want my brother to have a future as any other normal children.

“Children with disabilities have needs similar to any other normal children and therefore they need our support to make their dreams come true,” she said.

Despite not winning the charity crown Miss Solbrew managed to raise a significant amount of $130,000.

She said that with the money she hopes that she brings light to the school and break the marginalization holding them to perceiver.

“I feel I’ve made the right choice choosing San Isidro and I hope the children grow up to be fruitful resources for the country.”
