EASTERN STAR Football Club from Papua New Guinea are said to have shown interest in Kurukuru’s play-maker Jack Wetney with an offer for the 23 year to join the PNG’s top flight National league club.

Wetney, who has completed his contract with Amicale FC of Vanuatu, has yet to feature in any local club here so it’s likely this offer from eastern star FC will be a possible move for the renowned futsal star.

The Solomon Islands national beach soccer team, Bilikiki, will play a vital test match with Ukraine in the lead up to the 2013 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Tahiti.

The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) and the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) successfully secured the friendly match before the Bilikiki departed on Tuesday. The match will take place in Pape’ete at 15:30pm Tahiti time on Thursday (12:30pm on Friday, Solomon Islands time).

THE NATIONAL Beach soccer team, Bilikiki prior their departure for the 2013 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Tahiti has received a boost of $150 000 from fooball major sponsor Our Telekom.

Our Telekom marketing manager Robertson Szetu delivered the sponsorship, and also supplied the team with official travel wear and training equipment.
